Mothers... you can't live with them...
Well,
My mother has just royally pissed me off, and it's at 2am in the morning.
On top of it, I have to wake up at 6.30am to report in-camp for my reservist training...
My mum irritates me to no end, but that's mothers for you. What I cannot comprehend, however, is my mother's morality - she sees no wrong in coming into my room, and taking my property to give to her friends.
Magazine editors are always proud to bring back copies of our magazines to pass to select friends and family, and to also add to our collection of published works. What my mother discovered is that I'm a free source of 'gifts' for her friends.
Now, I don't mind if she asks me to pass her a couple of issues for her church friends, but what I royally got pissed off over is when she comes into my room, and takes my last copy of a certain month to give away, without asking me.
And the most incredible part is that she simply cannot see that she's doing anything wrong! My last personal copy, for my own reference and collection, and she freaking gives it away without even having the simple courtesy to ask me first!
It's not a small issue to me. It's an invasion of my privacy and a total lack of concern for my feelings. And it's even more infruiating in that she simply does not think she did anything wrong! When I asked her, she simply justified it as she needed to give a friend a birthday present, so she just took my last issue without the simple decency to even check if it's my last copy.
Yes, I have a few more issues at the office... but I'm not going to be in the office for the next week, and I need my references when I work from home. And that's beside the point. My mother comes into my room on a daily basis, and sometimes leaves ridiculious junk that she thinks 'I want', takes coins out of my 'bank' without asking, and generally 'messes' with 'my stuff'.
So now I'm in the ridiculious situation of having to lock my room door to stop my mother from stealing from me...
